I'm still waiting on scdnr to call me back... imagine that.
SCE&G lake management says the slip is his and we cant pull in to it and fish I still want DNR's answer
SCE&G is the Lake management and not for say Law Enforcement !!! DNR is the Law Enforcement when it come to a situation like this !!! I am almost certain they are going to say yes you have the right to fish it, but is really worth it ??? and if the situation get to a heated altercation that someone is going if not both parties to jail and let the judge decide !!! there is a lot of water out there to fish don't let this one jerk take away your fun !!!!

I have cast many a jig into and around empty boat slips, but always from a reasonable distance. I, too, would not actually pull into the slip.

Some people pay to have the permission to fish in the slips. If you ran into one of them then they don't want you to fish where they have dropped a tree. Some times they are aggressive and try to speak for the owner. If this is the case you would still lose the argument when the DNR get's involved. I'd give up and fish some where else! Like Ray said cast to it and move on.![]()

As for the rules on slips I did find out thru DNR you cannot fish the slips by pulling in. But you can fish from outside.

SeaRay thanked you for this post
There are always a few that can't express their opinions without being hostile or rude. I've been a member of this site for a long time and I will just say to SCgrubbs that Mr Slayers opinion does not represent what the majority of us would say, so some you just have to consider the source and move on.
I thought your question was reasonable and deserved a civil response.
