Well last week I posted how through not quitting and keep moving and trying new water it paid off with nice catch and good finish. We'll this week we fish one of my favorite lake to crappie fish Lake Greenwood, we like it so much we've over the year rented house for our summer vacation to get to play and fish on this lake. We'll in the last 3 trips to greenwood we've caught a total of 1 crappie including our past Saturday's SCCA tourney were we zero'd cant tell you when the last time we've done that and never have we not caught fish with 2 day of pre-fishing to boot. Only caught spotted bass and stripers (2).

All I can say is with the finishes I saw they are in a funk and don't know if they should be on brush, river ledge, or head to back of creeks, so they (the crappie said) we just ain't gonna bite. That's my story and I'm sticking to it for now. But I will make them pay one day dearly for this weekend.

Been there, done that. One week it is in the forties, the next week it is in the seventies. I don't think the fish know where they are supposed to be.

Fished there myself Saturday. Needless to say 20mph winds and 24ft pontoon don't mix! I did manage 2 good fish and 1 largemouth. I really need to start checking out these tourneys!

Sorry for the bad luck. I have not fished Greenwood since sept last year. Hopefully one of these days it will get straightened out. Going to try Clarke hill Thursday with Searay to see if we can locate a few willing to bite. Thanks for

Yes please dont fret over it. You will end up like Brettw taking meds, writning articles where not to fish. Still love ya Brettw.

Thanks for the report. Even a bad report fishing is a good day on the lake. It always encourages the rest of us when those days come to us and just get back on the horse and fish.

Eddy I feel for you, been fishing Greenwood all my life and have never been skunked on crappie there until I fished the Shriners Tournament last summer.

Hate to say it, but as a newbie it feels good to see some one have the same experience that I have form time to time. Everytime I go out I learn something to try or not try.
That's why they call it fishing and not catching.
Thanks for the honest report, it gives us newbies hope.

Did you happen to be in Hidden lake @ 11pm or so, if that was you we were right behind you in the red and white ranger that was longlining.

scooperdude, I don' know if I'd call you a newbie but we don't mind not catching, We, my daughter and I know we can catch fish, we've learned a lot fishing with some of the best crappie fishermen and women in the state we all have days when the fish don't bite. The only time I get worked up is when I'm the only one not catching fish and from our weigh in I wasn't the only one the struggled, better days are on the way we all know that.
