I would vote the front. Mainly for boat control and being able to position yourself on structure and ledges. I run 8-10 off the front for myself or me and a partner. If I have a third person they fish 4 out the back. Like Don said, the folks in the front normally catch more but that's not always the case. One instance when I've seen the back be better is in the wind. If the nose of the boat is bouncing in waves it makes it tough to catch fish because your baits are bouncing too. Normally the back of the boat is moving less...
