Two different methods...

First takes two people facing each other both people gripping one side of the ferrel with each hand... then each person twist and pull

Second way.... find two 12" pieces of scrap 1x1 wood tape one on each side of the ferrel,( tape it very good) reverse a bar clamp so it opens instead of closing, position clamp so it pushes on each piece of wood
