Fished Murray last weekend, trying to figure this stuff out. Found a few fish in 10 to 15 ft of water over brush. Don't have much knowledge crappie fishing, I've been a striper guy for years. Now I can't get enough of the crappie.

Welcome to the boards.
I've only fished Murray once with sinkermaker so far but it's a beautiful Lake and hope to get back down there soon.
I second what Thumper said.
Good luck and nice pic.
Oh and sometimes it will seem these guys are off their meds, but they are a great bunch to get to know
Thank a Veteran every chance you get.BigDawgg LIKED above post
Welcome to the boards,I am also a Murray fishermen and I crappie and striper fish. What type of crappie fishing do you like such as tight lining, pulling or brush fishing. A lot of fish are being caught on brush also tight lining in the mouth of coves from Rocky creek on up the lake.
Hey Sinker maker I would say tight lining is my preferred way to fish but, there is a definite learning curve. The few fish I did find was just out from Rocky Creek off the main river channel. There is something very addictive about these fish.
Welcome aboard, its good to have you join us here on CDC. The guys down your way will be able to help you on that lake. Spend some time reading the articles and reports all over our boards and the info will help you locate crappie. With you fishing brush and catching some you are well on you way to learning they like cover.
Look forward to reading your report,
Ronnie
