The Murray dam is built up and actually has a highway going over it, so you don't have to worry about taking a ride over it. Would be more worried about a car hopping a guard rail.

Actually the dam served as a windbreak for us. The wind had been up all evening but it was coming from across the dam and I it buffered it a good bit. There is no way to go over the dam as it is probably 25 feet above the lake and there are concrete barriers that would make it almost impossible for a vehicle to come over. Even if it did we were a good 100 feet or more away.
Biggest safety issue as always is a drunk or irresponsible boat owner running over you.

My son does a better job of eating healthy than I do. I seldom eat any fried food, but when it comes to fresh fish, hard not to break out the fry pot.

That was a dish my son fixed from ones I gave him. Had it been me, I would have fried them.
I actually never thought fried Striiped Bass would be good until Jeff, the guy I fished with, had us over for fish tacos . He fried the Stripers fot that and it was outstanding.
