Has anyone tried the synthetic wood like they have for decking as bunks on the trailer? Looks like a couple of 2X4s in that would last forever. I was not sure if it was rigid enough to hold a boat. I've always used treated boards with carpet and up until I got my current boat I always had trailer slicks over the carpet.

yup I did it worked fine for me used it 4==5= yrs till trailer rusted down from salt water
wood didn't seem to have any affect on aluminum toons or whatever metal was on trailer
toon went on and off trailer easy didn't use any thing like carpet on it just plain wood or
whatever that stuff is. used the 1 x 6 size
