    Default Secession 3/30

I longlined on secession yesterday and the bite has really slowed to what it was a week or 2 ago. In previous weeks they would bite jigs with no problem but yesterday it seemed as they would not bite the jig unless i had a minnow on it as well. I caught a limit worth of fish but only 11 of them were keepers over 10 inches. The wind made it a little difficult and also a lot of trash and debris in the river made it difficult to keep my lines clean. I mainly fished the bridge and river area, did try a few other spots that had been good to me in the past but did not mark many fish anywhere but the river.

The trash now is a reel problem. Greenwood had a lot floating. If you can stick your rod tips in the water while pulling and that will stop some of the problem. Thanks for sharing

With the 1'' of rain we had upstream from the lake I would have thought there would be a little debris floating around but sounds like you did OK. The size of fish will be getting smaller as the spawn plays out so catching numbers will be the ticket to getting a good limit of keeper fish. Thanks for the report from Secession
