After reading the results of an FLW bass event held this weekend on Santee, and the bass pros description of what took place for them, (huge bags of big fish) winner had 5 going over 30 pounds on Saturday. I feel the same way as them, I was in the right places, at the exact right time as the big fish made their first move towards the shallows. Long lining was the perfect technique to intercept the schools of big fish as they made their way into the spawning grounds. This is the third time I've been fortunate enough to have been in this situation. The first time was Santee 2005, the second was on Greenwood during the Crappie Masters event that we won, now again on Santee 2016. Great fishing experiences that do leave a lasting impression.
