    Default Just when...

Just when the temps start to rise and the waters begin to clear, we get a full moon monsoon! Hope this spring isn't as wet as this winter has been.

I'm with you on that !!! Still real soggy from all the Fall/Winter rains. Lake Murry in my area (Big Saluda) is just starting to "De-mud" just a little. I was just starting to get a little excited about hitting the water. Hope to get into a little Crappie action in the next week or so.

I hate when murray stays muddy all winter!!!! I been fishing it all winter( for the last 20 years) and have yet to get to crappie fish it this year, I fish in the river for crappie, when it is muddy I dont even try for the crappie. When the river stays clear in the winter time the crappie fishing is unreal!

My thoughts also as I rode over the Saluda yesterday with the waters looking the best I have seen them in awhile. After 2'' of rain I know what it must be looking like this morning, mud again.

I haven't seen Saluda today but I live next to the reedy river! She is high and solid red. Greenwood doesn't stand a chance with these 2 rivers feeding it, and then all that is headed toward Murray. I imagine hartwell will be the only fishable water nearby after today!

Happens every year though. When the fish start biting the weather changes and knocks 'em back. It will happen more than once if like other years too.

Little Saluda is a little "murky" but not too bad , should be very fishable. Have noticed striper fishermen pulling planers out in front of Big Man's.

I live on the Little Saluda near Camp Barstow and it is Muddy and Windy.
You can't catch fish from the couch.
