Against my better judgement, I loaded up the bride, my dad and both youngins and headed out on secession this morning about 9:00. Fishing was tough to say the least! Winds were 10-15+ and the water was heavily stained. Water temps were steady at 49 degrees. We did however manage to catch 12 solid crappies between 1.5 to 2 lbs, a perch nearly a pound and a 4 lb green carp! Give way to the wind and tournament fishermen around 2:00. Gonna try em again later this week.

That's about the same results I had today on secession. Were you trolling jigs or fishin minnows. We trolled jigs from 1:30 to 5. The quality was good just not alot of bites.
I was told the traffic was very bad over the weekend there. Good to hear you caught some good size fish.

Traffic was terrible. It's a shame they can't go 1 week without a bass tourney there. Even had a boat do a tight circle around us while we were fishing. I tied on a 1 ounce sinker on top of a big treble hook in case he decided to try it again. He was that close!

Knot on the head with a hook imbedded is a good lesson learned when messing with the wrong crappie fisherman.![]()
