    Those jigs look great- As far as colors- Black and Chartruese is my go to. Sometimes they want flash. Let the fish tell you!

    My early days of crappie fishing we trolled (1 rod each) Hal Flys. We used red head, silver body, and white marabou tail. Also use black, silver, white. My buddy kept a detailed fishing log and over many trips the red head caught most of the crappie and the black caught more bream, and yes, we caught many, many bream trolling the Hal Fly on 4# test mono.

    Are the hair style jigs shown in this post good for pulling and tightlining or used mostly for vertical jigging?

    I don't know. I assume both but most guys pull plastics. I'll be trying them on double rigs right beside plastic.
