Ofish, Fishfinder,CrappieKidd,Brettw,Turkeyfootnc,Mike turkeyfoots buddy, ScooperDude showed up.
Everyone chipped in some money. We decided to make up some bamboo condos and some pvc condos.
OFish is getting the horizontal PVC, Brett is able to get a discount at Lowes so he's picking up the concrete.
Bearclaw has offered a place to cut bamboo.
Brett has offered his backyard for the assembly location
I have set a jan 23rd date for cutting the bamboo depending on the weather, rain or snow should stop us. Sam says we can cut with or without him around.
Once we have the bamboo on a trailer we'll set a date that the most people can help fill the pails and stuff the boo, then hopefully over the next couple weeks folks can get the piles set in the lake.
If you can help with the money and or the work please let us know. You can mail checks to my PO box 1239 Matthews, NC 28106. Make the checks to Grady Moorer. Please send your email/phone so I can send updates. Any money left over will be held for next year or we can throw it in the pot for prizes for the next NC/SC Clash.

I got a few buckets, a couple of fake trees and some jugs for the upright floatation. I'll get more as we need them. I am working on the 23rd so I'll have to see what I can do about that. glad you got a plan together and hope it gets underway without glitches. Thanks to all!

Default Taking one for the team

So I offered to get some 5 gallon buckets for the project. A local Deli usually sets out a 5 gallon plastic pickle bucket about twice a week so I can collect some. One the way to dinner after church I cut through the parking lot and lo and behold they had set 6 out. Never seen more than 1 or 2 at the time so I figured I better get them right now.
Two problems which put me in the dog house but I took it for the greater good of CDC.

1st problem: These are pickle buckets with a little juice still in the bottom so guess what they smell like.
2nd problem: We were in my wife's new car...........

So I convince her they would be gone if I waited so into the back they went. This is an SUV so everything is open which means her new car now smells like a pickle factory.

If I am to survive this I better get some crappie off the resultant piles to pay off my debt.

So I am letting them air out and will bring them when we build the piles. Also getting a check to Grady.
Gotta check to see if the heat is working in the dog house. Spose to be cold tonight!!

Ray the good news is that vinegar pulls the odor out of the air so the pickle smell will go away fast. Thanks Mama from all of us!
And thank you for getting the pails pickle juice and all.
