Thread: Attach picture to pm

You have to use a program like photobucket. Load your picture to photobucket then copy the picture and paste it to your pm.

You can also post it to the "Testing Area" forum, and then copy from the test forum and paste to your pm (or at least, it has worked this way in the past).

It's easy if you have a photobucket acc't. If not then that's easy too.

So what you are saying is ... that when you click on the "picture" icon, you get a box that appears and it says :

INSERT IMAGE

From computer From URL

Then has a empty line where you enter the URL address ... etc, etc.


OK .... then, next time just click on "From Computer" (it's actually a separate choice from "From URL) ... and the box will change. Then you click on "Select Files" at the bottom center of the box, and that will open up another box, which is your computer files ... and you click on "pictures". That brings up all your picture files, and you choose which ever one you want to use and then click on it ... then click on "Open". That puts the picture's address in the "Insert Image" box, and then you click on "Upload File(s)" ... and it will download that picture to your PM, or on here in your post (works the same way in either case).

IF that doesn't work .... PM me, and I'll find out why, and what you can do to remedy the situation.

This works if you are posting a new thread. You do not get the choice "from computer" when trying to insert on a pm. All you get is "from url". Thanks for response.

Posting pics on a PM doesn't work like posting a pic to a thread. You can't just pick one from your computer, this is the reason most use photobucket. It sounds like "if" you have one already posting somewhere on CDC you can copy and post it to a PM. ?

Photobucket is free, look into an account. Some other forums you have to use an outside source to post pics.

did you get my PM I sent you ??? the way I explained in the PM will work if you don't want to get photobucket !!!
