    Prayer Request Lake session today

Met up with Saludariverman this morning at secession. We started at the ramp and pulled 1/8 oz jigs trolling at .8 to 1.2. Water temp was 67 degrees and no wind. Bite was slow to say the least. We probably caught 15 to 20 fish total with only one good keeper. Tried both sides of the bridge. Sure hope the bite picks up by sat if not it is going to be a long morning. Don

It has been on a down swing but I'm sure it will pick up by Saturday. I hope to go tomorrow to see if I can find them.

Well you did better than Uncle Remus, my friend, Harry and me. We had a cold morning boat ride on the luxurious liner the USS Remus. We could not get fish to bite even though we were marking huge school on the bottom and also suspending above the bottom. We maybe caught 3 or 4 small perch and several small catfish. At one point the school was so thick it tricked the DF into seeing that as the bottom. We went from 50 FOW to 35 FOW sitting still. That is a serious school of something. Uncle Remus thinks it may be catfish since we did catch several small ones in these clusters.
Other than the fishing being slow we had a great time fishing with Robert. It was my friend's first time on Wylie. Now he thinks I was fibbing about all the perch so I guess I gotta bring him back when the weather settles down some.
Maybe by Saturday Secession will be back on track and all them secret spots you got marked will pay off for us.

Sad to say that the sorry bite must have been state wide. Rango wanted to go on a striper hunt Thursday or Friday so I thought that I would travel to Wateree this morning on a scouting trip. I should have stayed home. Fished from nine to one thirty and caught one 22 in. striper and one like sized cat. Beautiful day, no wind, great bait, the water was in great shape, no fish to speak of. That's why they call it fishing and not catching. And after TWO trips back to Mountaintop, my boat is still leaking.

Sorry to hear that Don. I would have thought just the opposite since it was a nice day. Maybe y'all need to try some of those blue minnows that Ray and Uncle Remus talk about on here. Thanks for the report.

Fished Russell today for 2 hrs. Marked fish and bait the entire time and did see a couple rods get a slight tap. Other than that...."1" small bream.

reports like that makes me feel good about not catching much on Wylie == we hit every hot hole I know and marked fish on most of um with not much to show for our effort == but on the bright side and after we saw we was not going to freeze to death had a great time with Harry and Ray the fellowship and getting to rake every body we know over the coals was fun too. == hope things pick up for all the fishin expoes that are planed in the next few weeks and hope to get to meet some of the c.c members that I haven't met yet and see some of the ones I have. good luck to all and hope to see ya soon Remus
