Went to the Sampit river in georgetown with my uncle and a couple friends to try for something a little different.I was "hopeing to catch me a redfish,,but,,wasnt to be caught bullhead catfish and some tiny blue catsfish.four year ago same time my uncle caught lots of reds. This trip wasnt the best,,,first off my depthfinder quit working,,,lost my front ancor and my VRO alarm went off.WE were a good ways from the landing so I decided I would go ahead and MIX the oil in the tank right then and there just to be on the safe side,,,anyway heres a few pics from the trip...
.
What we went for was a gator ,,the area had a lot of em 4 yr ago but not a lot now.
I will say you deffinatley know you got something on the other end of your line.We used abu 7000's with 150 lb braid with drags locked down.
