    Default Hurricane Rain

This is actually pre-Hurricane rain report but we can update this post as the storm moves through this weekend. Be interesting to see how it affects everyone.
We had a hard rain about 4AM this morning and when I checked the gauge there was 2.3 inches in it. Only rained about 90 minutes, that is a lot of water in that amount of time, and more is on the way.

Ray , Since last Thursday I had 3.1 in my gauge. None today yet. They say we in for 4-6 around here. Should help Wylie a good bit. Everyone stay dry and safe through this.

Over the last week we have received a little over 5''

Last night we received 1'' and they say it will rain until Monday and say we will get around 10''. I will keep reporting each night to see what the total is from this storm.

I walked my old dog down to the lake about 4:00. I swear the water level has dropped 4-6 inches since I was down there Thursday trying to catch some perch. I guess they ran water all day and night in anticipation of the rain that they think is coming. This is certainly not scientific, there is an old stump beside my dock and the water is 10-12 inches further from the stump.

Thumper, I just read that SCEG had opened the flood gates on Murray to relive pressure and reduce flooding. Might see the water drop some. Hate to be on the lower Saluda right now.
