Run on to old fishin' buddy and CDC legend Rango yesterday. He and 3 other guys caught a limit of 40 stripers 3-9 lbs Wednesday night. Seen pitchers to prove it.

dang that's a nice mess for his time of year. do you know any details...what part of lake, how deep, bait? I usually give up around May but would like to give it a shot. I've seen him in the "honey hole"(his and many others named this area) before, but that's usually in the fall.

That's a good catch anytime. Glad to hear some fish being caught. Last time I was down there was about 3 years ago on 3 Jul nightstalking caught a good mess of fish. Maybe I need to get back that way some time soon. Thanks for the report.

Some of you guys mighta got the same emails I got. Those 40 were the limits they kept, not all that they caught. Way I understand it they just ran out of bait and left the fish biting. One heck of a nite for sure. My hat's off to Rango. He's probably forgotten more about fishing than most of us will ever learn.

It's good to hear Rango hasn't forgotten how to fish.

Yea, he wrote the book on night fishing. Supper nice guy and he'll tell you anything you want to know and also tell you right where to fish also, not like alot of some. He's always taking new people with him to show how to do it...
