    Default livewell help

My livewell has this type over flow,,pvc pipe with a rubber bushing on the bottom to stick in the hole/drain.

My problem is that bigger fish or lots of fish in the livewell knock it out all the time.Does anyone have a better one/better idea on how to"upgrade" this? I know I can put a standard ole boat plug in it but I couldnt run water in it but just one time to fill it up..I am thinking I went on another boat and his had a screw in type drain instead of the push in like mine...Thanks for any input...

I'm sure someone sells a kit for that. One peice to put in bottom of livewell with threads on it and other peice to put on bottom of pvc. One everything is in place jusy screw in. Hope this makes sense.

Can u put an "0" ring on it that would provide a tighter fit so it would not come out as easy? Mine screws in on my Tracker, not sure about the new one. Have not got to the live well yet.

Secure a larger diameter piece of pipe to the inside of the lid, make it just long enough to cover top of the pipe a inch or so..... cut the back of the larger pipe out to allow over flow drainage and to provide clearance when the lid is opened..........

Thanks for the ideas fellas.I finally found a place that sells the SCREW IN type. Its is JMSonline.net,,,.I ordered them today, bout 22 bucks for the thru the live well fitting and the screw in plug. They had two different kinds/lengths for the thru livewell fitting, one was $5 and one $7,,didnt know for sure what one that I needed so I got both of them to be sure....Mabey next time I get home with some fish the water will be still in the livewell and the fish will be alive.Heres a shot with no water

Remus,I try to shoot a little fresh water in my livewell to rinse it out just after I take the fish out to clean them.I have forgot to at times but the next trip when you open it up and the smell is real bad,,it will make you remember that trip to rinse it out...
