For you folks who like to target the White perch, they are easy to come by now up in the river at cedar creek, mostly fair sized ones.I just figured I d post so some more of you could get in on the white perch eradication program(to hopefully help out the white bass population)

Jason, you know you have to weed thru them little aggravating perch when you are cut baiting, wheither you like it or not,,they will bother you.Heres some that wont bother anyone at cedar creek anymore. The perch in the bucket I kept alive and turned loose in a pond, three or four didnt make it the first day and I have only saw one more floating since then.Matter a fact I caught one again last week out of the pond. The pond is slap full of shiners,I feel they have a good food supply. The longer fish in the cooler,,they got the fillet knife, and the weenie dogs got full of red meat striper(they love that).

He knows how to catch them fish with stripes on em biggdawg,,,don't let him tell ya he can't.Im sure he still has his striper gear.He might need to knock the dust off and put new line on em though.

I'm not sure I even know where Cedar Creek is. What was the lake we had the night stalk at on the east side of I77 around Great Falls? Was that it?? I know there are 2 or 3 small lakes above Wateree, but I can't keep them straight.

Bearclaw why would you want them in a pond? Eat the shiners?
Ray,cedar creek is basically the far upper reaches of lake wateree,,the las couple of miles is just the river run section, and most folks call the river section of lake wateree cedar creek. There is a creek( cedar) that empties into the river a tenth of a mile or so behind the dam. Ne t lake on upper side of the dam is stumpy pond, then a small dam to Dearborn lake which is almost impossible to get in,then the natures dam that above is fishing creek.All3 of these are in great falls area. The next dam up from fishing creek is the Wylie dam. Eatmorecrappie, all that's in the pond is mostly shiners,so it isn't like the white perch is gonna mess any fishing up in it.Its just a small watering pond for cows.Im not sure it they can live in a pond or not.

Thanks. Got a friend who has a place up there(besides Uncle Remus). He's been bugging me to go up with him for a couple of days, so we might check it out. I think he needs some work done on the place and trying to trick me into helping.
