Thread: Prayer request

My only sister, who was like a 2nd Mom to me, has been in ill health with cancer. She first was diagnosed in 2006, but went through treatments and had been doing really well until it came back last year. Her daughters had to put her in a care facility when they could not provide care for her. One daughter lives next door and the other in Florida and they had been swapping off staying full time with her for about 6 months until she began to need skilled nursing care.
I got a call from one of them today telling me the facility had called and said her blood pressure was dropping and they did not expect her to make it through the day.
She is 14 years older than me(84) and she and her husband(deceased) built next to my parent's home when I was 13 and since then she has been a 2nd mom and friend to me. Tough turning loose even knowing the end was near.
