Default Classic Champ can sing too

Heard this on TV this morning, local boy turned Bass Masters Classic champ Casey Ashley has a second career as a Country music singer. This fellow is pretty darn talented on the water, and off! Go to YouTube and search Casey Ashley "Fisherman"

Funny you posted this Tim. When I saw the title I just knew it was about crappiebuster. Congratulations on a big win this weekend Derek. You and your partner have had one heck of a season

Thanks Blaine! It was a great season for us. Seems like everything went our way when we needed it. I know there's a certain skill level required to compete in tournaments, but I swear competing and winning has got to be 75% luck! It's all about being in the right place at the right time and getting the right fish to bite. Somehow, we were fortunate that it happend a bunch for us this year!

Tim, I heard Casey Ashley's song a few years back and it's one of my favorites. I made a little dock shooting video I put on youtube years ago and I used that song in it! I love the words of it.

Congrats on the big win Derrick, I fully believe as you stated, that tournaments are 50% luck, 50% skill. Tou need the knowledge to select the proper technique, you must be able to find/locate fish. That's the skill part, having the bigger fish bite your baits when fishing in a crowd, pulling up and starting to fish and hitting the mother lode when lost in the fog, having a good fish fall off the hook into the net all fall under the luck part. Of coarse there are many more scenaios, but these are s few that have happened to me.

Casey can sing and catch them too, like yall glad to see a small town, local boy doing good. If you can find it, he has a CD out that is really good. I thought you was talking about Derek as well. Congrats on the win the Saturday, heck of a stringer and heck of a year. The Part Timer's (band Derek is in) is pretty dang good too.
