Testing the waters
Hearing Ink talk about getting a new boat got me thinking(never a good thing). I have a 16.5 ft Tracker that has served me well. But as I get older and a couple of my friends have had some hip and knee problems I am thinking I want to get a boat that does not have the raised decks on it. I said I would never buy a stick steer but the more I look at how convenient it would be to have everything up front and not have to crawl all over to set up, I am interested. Plus your buddy would be set once he got in the boat. My grandkids will not sit in the seat on the deck, They started fishing with me when they were small and sat on a cooler on the floor of the boat and now they sit on the deck floor even though they are about grown.
So if you know someone who might be interested in my boat send them to me. I am still in the thinking stage, but if somebody wanted to buy my boat I would have to get another one, right?? Sound reasonable to me.
It is a 2000 Proteam Tracker 165 with a 1995 55HP Yamaha with T&T. I will keep the I-Pilot since whatever I get won't have one..
I've owned a stick steer boat before so I am familiar with the pros and cons, plus the new ones are a lot nicer than the one I had in 1982.
