Default Weather doesn't want to cooperate

Found out that the motor on my crappie boat wasn't worth the repair bill. 1970 model 25hp and 800-900$ to fix not justifiable. Been working with dad on the ole Stratos that we haven't put in the water much past couple years since gas was high and didn't need the 20 footer. We got all old gas pumped out and ready to test out. 20 degs not good time to make test runs on the water. Ready for warmer days when we get days off. March is approaching fast.

Forgot the part of don't want to commit and swap trolling motor and all the rod mounts over until Stratos is good to go. Worse case the 16-48 tracker can still pull jigs without outboard. Hard to trailer a 201 pro without outboard

Good luck with it. Paying a little more for gas seems better than chunking out enough for another motor. Maybe youll run across something cheap when youre least expecting it.

Thanks gabowman. Hoping that the Stratos is good to go once we get it out for a test run. We pumped out both tanks. Just gotta refuel and try it out

I think that's a good idea, especially since the motor has been sitting for awhile.

If it's a carbed motor I would open the throttle plate and spray some sea foam directly in the intake to try and get some lubrication to the bearing before trying to start her.......
