Well my mechanic called me yesterday about my trailer situation. He said he has everything but the seals will not fit. He told me he tried every where with no luck. His employee is going to try a boat shop by his house tomorrow(Monday) morning. I got on line on Northern Tool but I don't think the size is right. He gave me the measurements of the width of the hub as (outer) 1.066 and (inner) 1.052. If anybody has any ideas where I might could find some I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks for your help.

Try etrailer.com. If not, trying getting a hold of your trailer manufacturer for the spare seals. I get my spares from Wesco. I wouldn't trust boat shops for seal and bearings cause most likely they are the cheap plastic cardboard kits that are sold at wally world at a marked up premium and the seals are usually single lipped.

I just went through this! I bought new seals and bearing at napa . found out the hard way they were not right. Mine is a tracker trailer, have to get them straight from tracker, they got there on special sizes. Made me MAD! Next time I will change out the whole hub to standard size, northeren has them and you can buy replacements at any auto parts.

Thanks Whiskerwhipper I'll try them now. This is an older(80's) trailer I'm sure the manufacturer is no longer around.

Take the old seal to bearing distributors downtown........ they should be able to match it up..........

And if all that doesnt work it's time to carry the hub to a machine shop.

WESCO carries a good slection of this kind of stuff. Charleston Hyway in Cayce.

The best trailer parts mail order catalog that I've ever run across is Chamption Trailers in Slidell, La. The catalog is 48 pages. Their service has always been good for me.
