    Default still a little early

my son Jeremy and myself went up the little saluda river on MLK day just to put the boat in the water; try out y new am/fm/cd radio and new Garmin 501c fish finder. radion played great. no power to the fish finder. back to the audio shop for them to lick their calf. we ended up tight lining for about two hours. did not start until around 3pm. gave it up around 5. it gets cold on the water when the sun disappears. caught eight nice crappie with one going two pounds. lost a couple. anyway; the water was 44-45 degrees and pretty stained. i figure in a couple weeks it will be right and we can jump on some slabs. still a good time with my son for a couple hours.

Congrats on the slabs and enjoy all the time you can with your son. Now thru the end of Feb is THE TIME to be looking for those 3 lbers. Stay after 'em. Numbers of fish will come after the big ones start doing their deed.
