    Default Nuggets?

I went by Wally World today to pick up some fishing line and noticed that they sell a product by Berkley called "Nuggets" and I remembered that people used to talk about using them, but I've never known it to seem to make any difference. Either the fishing are hitting, or else they aren't. Do you guys use Nuggets? All the time? Only in certain situations? What situations? What color? Anything else I need to know?

    Thanks

    GF

Most of the Nuggets are for trout. Don't know anyone that uses them. These are used by a lot of crappie fisherman when tight lining / spider rigging. The pink and chartreuse are used the most. They do get soft and fall off the hook after awhile.

I've tried so many of those products and yet to find one that I thought helped. They all seemed to fall off the hook in a few min.

I will not go fishing without my crappie nibbles (not the nuggets) nibbles are smaller than the nuggets. I shot docks and the will stay on for many shots unless you get a bump or a bluegill knocks it off. I think that they do make a difference. Chartreuse is the color I use the most, keep the lid on them and out of the sun and they will stay fresh and tasty for the slabs!!!

Sorry guys, I couldn't remember the right name for them & the first thing I saw in my Google search was "nuggets" and not "nibbles." Hence the error. But "nibble" is what I saw. Thanks for the information. Sounds like the conventional wisdom is "maybe yes and maybe no."

    Take care

Those crappie nibbles are great air fresheners too. Scatter a few in your tackle box (or tow vehicle) and prepare to be amazed!
