Glad I was able to help a little, I believe you were in front of me on Friday afternoon. After dropping Tommy off, I stopped at the IGA in Elloree to pick up a few things to grill when I got home. A truck pulling a blue Ranger with rod racks came by and was in front of me on highway 6, turning off on highway 267. I tried to catch up to you, but caught the only red light in town, and got to far behind. Did you catch the fish where we talked about?

Friday just about whipped me as I couldn't get anything going but was bound and determined not to leave the water without some sort of pattern to follow on Saturday. Ended up finding a few and got off the water for a cool down. Back at it Saturday morning and results were better but not great. Ended up cleaning 37 fish from the two days which is more than I like to keep anyway. We had a few good fish but nothing to write home about. I was happy with the way things turned out considering its my first trip to Marion in summer months. Only 2nd trip ever. Never made it to moultrie but maybe next time. Scared of going back there since it will be very hard to top my 1st and only trip back in spring. Anyways enough rambling from me and a big thanks for all the help

The cats are always biting, most all the guides I'm seeing are down the lake from Mills creek towards the dam. They all seem to be drift fishing near the creek and river channel ledges.

While I was there made a ride to dam just looking around and out in front of taw caw creek there were a ton of very large catfish dead. Wouldn't think the lake is turning over yet or maybe with the hot weather they just got to stressed from the spawn
