    Default Great Day

Ro and I couldn't ask for better day than we had yesterday ( even after a bad start forgot to put plug in and left tackle box in the boat) . We kept 40 Fish limit probably caught 100 on Lake Greenwood over brush 20' using Tom Mundy's 1/64 jigs 2lb test line. To stay in with the Good Man above we gave our preacher a bag of fillets

Good report Bob It is always a good idea to look after your preacher
Sounds like fishing lite tackle is the way to go. Pulling those in on 2 lb line, nice.

Way to go Bob, you and Roland are working out on those Greenwood brush fish. A lot of folks are missing out on some of the finest, most consistent crappie action of the entire year. Brush fishing in late spring all the way thru late fall is my most favorite way to fish, and most productive. It is common to have 100 fish days, with some days producing way more than that. Congrats to the two of you, stay on them and thin the population a bit through out the summer months.

As Bob stated it was a great day on the water! I like to catch fish any way but it is hard to beat the one pole brush bite as it has been the past few trips for us. Making the switch to the smaller line and jig head saved the day it is hard to believe that switching from 4 lb line to 2 lb line can make a difference in catching and not catching fish but it does.

Congrats to the both of you on a fine catch! I know that brush pile fishing is a lot of fun and it looks like the quality fish in good numbers are there right now. Looks like some sure nuff' Slabs to me!

As a preacher I always appreciate church members giving me a mess of fish, shrimp, oysters--I never have been picky! You did good to remember your preacher. Thank you for that.
