Sounds like some kinda of hatched out fish fry but cannot tell from the picture what it might be. It definitely doesnt sound like shad.

I agree Butch, looks like a good hatch, whatever it is.

Yes,John,we caught a lot of fish.Mostly on the smaller side,8 to 10 inches.Had three fish over a lb.Used almost a pound and half minnows. The 5 inch white perch moved in and that was aggravating.I did land a nice 18 in green carp!We fished (like Lionel Ritchies hit song) "all night long"> That made for a rough feeling day the next day..Fished way north of the border at Shearon Harris resivior.First time i had been there.Went with a friend who has a night fishing set up.

Nice catch Sam. A lot of minnows used but that had to be a fun nightstalk. I use to fish that lake when I was working at the nuke station (81-84). Even back then it had some very good fishing.

Sounds like a good trip Sam. Going thru that many minners I KNOW you guys had to be culling ALOT of fish too. AND, it's got to be satisfying just knowing that you can still hang all night long (I know I cant). Congrats.
