Default Help with TM and Structure Scan

Does anybody know someone that can install a tm and structure scan in the Columbia area? A buddy from work said I need to put it on the jack plate, yes or no. Thanks for your help.

    Marc Danque,

Does that type of work, look up the Crappie hole, he should help you. as far as the jack plate, mine comes out the water on plane and that would cause lose of signal I think, they make a adapter that goes on the jack plate but not sure if it will work with structure scan.

give marc a call he's a good guy.

I have a down scan ducer mounted to my tm as far as side scan I'm not sure heard different things about that. You could mount to jack plate. Eddy if you are on plane then you are running to fast for structure scan to read. Need to be running 1.5 - 4.5 and 4.5 is to fast to get good images

I wasn't meaning I run like that with S. scan. I don't even have a unit that has SScan, but I see your point, then on the jackplate maybe OK...
