Not sure about GWD but on the hill the blacks were toting eggs a week ago and were getting caught <15' of water up to the banks. I'd check those flats first if I were you. Look for stained water.

I haven't been but have talked to a few people that have been fishing, and they aren't doing much in the shallows. This could change with the warmer weather this week, but I also haven't heard of many people catching fish with eggs in them. It is hard for me to believe that the fish have spawned out with the inconsistent spring we have had, but I haven't heard of many reports with fish with eggs still in them being caught. But all this is second hand info as I haven't been lately.

The fish I caught Monday on the Wood had eggs. Jonesz, of course, you know my fishing report. For the other posters, I was fishing in 10 to 14FOW. The fish were high in the water column.

Yeah, I know I can count on you rubbing it in that you got to go catch fish today while I was cutting grass. Thanks Marcus

Yep, Caught 60 yesterday. The fish were not in the 10-14FOW range. We caught all fish trolling in 3 to 8FOW. The temp of the water was 72°. John Deere, Midnight, and UV Silver were the best jigs. 1/16 jig head @ 1.2mph.

The fish must be in all stages of the spawn as today I caught them in water from 10'-14' deep and was pulling about 8' down. Most are females that havent finished spawing out yet. I'm guessing they go in and lay some eggs, move back out, and come in again and again until theyre laid out. Any other guessers?!?
