As it stands, most states don't have a rod limit while fishing out of a boat. I'm a proponent of an 8 rod per boat limit. Most tournaments have rules stating this, and I find it to be adequate for both tight lining and long line trolling when fishing with some one or solo. When brush or structure fishing, one or occasionally two rods are used.

I was a club pro for 17 years before getting out of the business to spend more time with my family and get my weekends back. Nice to be on the otherside of the golf business as a consumer.

At the risk of being tied to a stake and stoned with dead perch, maybe we should have a golf/crappie outing. Robdog and I talked about it but never got around to doing it.
