Cabela's Coming to Fort Mill, SC

Here is a news article that says Cabela's has bought the Plaza Fiesta near Carowinds amusement park. They are planning on starting construction in 2014 and expect it to open in the spring of 2015.

The one being built in Greenville will open in 2014.

Eye candy! Same as Bass Pro. Problem is that with today's internet their prices can also be beat. Still though....alot of fun walking around in them. It sho' gets you in the mood to hunt or fish.

Probably lot of tourist gimmicks like Cabelas Logo stuff, Duck Dynasty junk, camo for her, and probably no more fishing stuff that what Academy has. But I can get a Culver's burger next door on Raccoon's tab.

That sounds great but why would they build one that close to Greenville SC?

There is also one coming to NC cant remember the town name but that is exactly what the guy I talked with said they are wanting more impact here in the south. By the way, there is also a BPS suppose to be built in Agusta around the same time.

It is a mystery to me why none are locating in Columbia. There is a Costco in Charleston and Augusta and probably one in the upstate, but all we got is Sams and it is 15 miles from my house, Academy Sports is even futher, but they are building one on my side of town. Guess they figure us po folks ain't got no money to spend and they might be right, but I seldom walk through one of those stores without buying something I didn't know I needed.
