In my opinion go for the sure bet. But hey I have been wrong before. Good Luck wherever you go.

I have about 4 hrs to fish tomorrow. I want to try a few spots on Keowee, but know of multiple "sure bets" on Hartwell. Any input? Keowee is always feast or famine. Hate to get skunked knowing I could have caught a mess on Hartwell.

First welcome to the boards and second I agree with ofishlbizzness, go where you know the fish are biting if you want to catch sure fish. If Keowee is the lake you want to fish I would go there, never know when you may hit the bite just rightGood luck.

Decisions! I've fished the gum log/ eastanolee area past 7 trips. And it's been good, but starting to slow down. Keowee, for me, always seems to fire up after Hartwell slows. May just be Keowee. Who knows, may wake up in a different mood, so if ya see a white Excell bay boat in Hartwell, I change my mind! Good luck to everyone fishing!
Welcome to the boards and good luck!!![]()
Well, Keowee ain't there yet, but did catch quality fish! 6 total from 11 inche to a 16 1/2 inch monster! Did get a mess, but its back to the tugaloo for a few weeks. Temp was 56 degrees on Keowee early today.
