    Default It's been a while

Its been a while (more than 2 years) since I have got the boat out and wet a hook. Put in at Browns Rd this morning and decided to wait under the bridge for the rain to stop. 45 minutes passed without a bite and along comes someone bank fishing under the bridge and casts right where I had just moved from and pulls a NICE slab out. Moved down river some and caught a small one about 8' down in 20' of water. Moved up towards Harris Bridge but couldn't find any brush. Finally met up with my dad and brother back down river and got skunked watching them pull about 12 in the boat. Fished the same structure as they were but I was about 25 yards away. Obviously they were holding tight to one spot. Moved over when they left and hooked into something that broke my line (tap tap and it was GONE!) Guess you could say I am a little rusty but at least the boat didn't sink. That's always a plus.

It's good to hear from you fowlmood. It won't take you long to get back into the swing of catching the crappie. Thanks for the report I rode over Brown Road bridge tonight and the water looks good there.
