I've seen a brush pile on live scope react after turning it on. I typically have my wife and young sons on my boat and they are either making more noise than this, or swimming nearby doing the same thing.

Before I bought this, there were several times where I was fishing without luck and right as/after a boat went buy, I got a bite. It might be correlation, not causation, but it happened.
