Exactly, or you do not have original receipt. They screwed me because i did not save the recipt for a transducer. Went bad after 15 or so uses and they even admitted it wasn't anything i did, was a faulty attachment point inside the transducer. Sorry, no receipt no help. They offered me $10 off a new one if I remember right.
Then twice now I have had technical questions, both times they immediately said they were broken products and wanted me to buy new. Both times i managed to work through them and there was nothing wrong.
Garmin CS gets an F from me. Ive heard their warranty replacement (required by law) is good, but everyone's is.
