Ive done lots of Canadien Walleye fishing in past years primarily casting small jigs or trolling lures.
Feeling the tap on a jig is different than a fish grabbing a Rapala and needs a different rod imop.
I personally prefer rods 7’ or less for that type fishing.
I own 10 Pro Angler rods from 5’6” to 14’ including a couple 8 footers.
They are a tough rod sold by a very good company.
I also own an ACC 8 footer and several B n M 8 footers.
I like and use them all for jig fishing for Crappies.
I also own a B n M 10’ Sam Heaton super sensitive model, they also make a 7’ in that series.
If i were going to be casting jigs for Walleyes id be taking one of those along for sure.
