I'm interested, do you know what Generation it is? Any Recent software updates? Does it have built in SSI? Or does it need the separate Transducer & box? Also, If anybody has a SSI setup (Transducer, Box & cables) &/or the GPS Puck for Lowrance, I need that too. Anybody have the adapter dongle to convert a MK built in sonar (4 pin) to a Lowrance unit like this one?

Generation 1, internal GPS so you don't need a puck. Unit is capable of side scan but would need a LSS box and transducer. Software is up to date I believe.

Let me check & see if Gen 1 will "talk" to my Gen 2's. seem to remember something about Gen 1's, but CSR has got me! I have a Lowrance Elite 7 Chirp on console in my crappie boat, trying to replace the old bow unit. I have HDS 7 & 5, gen 2, networked on my bass boat. They work great! Have them I=Linked to my MG Xi5 Trolling motor. That's what I want the newer, faster GPS puck for. Because when you hit anchor sometimes it turns the boat completely around 180! They say if you add a puck it will keep heading...

Gen 1 is networkable to Gen 2 if my
Memory serves. I have gen 2s in my big boat but I haven't tried to network this unit on the big boat. I run a terrova so I don't have any experience with the xi5 and the anchor lock feature.

Gen 1 and Gen 2 will link. I have a Gen 1 HDS 5 on my bow and a Gen 2 HDS 7 on my console. They work great together.
