I agree, if you are fishing in waters where this motor would be coming out of the water you are going to have some issues with water in the boat. I think the only boats where you might need a longer shaft would be a Lund style boat or a pontoon.

Anyway, each to their own on what you need.

Bump on the motor. Same price $1175 tyd firm and will sell it for $1075 firm with local pickup. Crappie season is fast approaching. The motor is in excellent condition. I bought it new in January of 2013. I am not a guide and I did not put many hours on the motor. Thanks for looking.
