What would I need to make it work with my HDS-5?

I copied this right off the Minn Kota Website. Looks like you need a MKR-US2-10. They are anywhere from $25-$30 online. Thanks, Ringo.

If it had a 60" shaft I would have already bought it.

Are you guys running pontoon or Lund boats? I am currently running it on a War Eagle Predator 861. The motor is down in the water at least 24" when it is all the way down. I would think any bass boat style boat or aluminum boat the 45" would be good. Thanks for looking.

I understand what you are saying, but I have fished some extremely rough water on Sardis and yet to have the motor come completely out of the water.
