Turns out I bought a rust bucket. I knew it was too good to be true. The car looked great from the outside. And even the underneath. The car has undercoating which hid it. I shoulda poked it with a screw driver. But still, there's really very little rust that's made holes all the way through. So I think it'll be alright. I just have to stop the cancer from expanding. I think fluid film might be the answer but I'm not sure. For now I'll just get it out of the weather and continue with the transmission while I research the best way to address this.
