Well after seeing a picture on Google yesterday of a transducer shield. I decided to make me one today. I used 4" schedule 40 PVC pipe and a 4" PVC cap on the end and then painted it silver. I think it will help keep things from bumping into it especially around the boat dock and the Schedule 40 PVC is pretty thick 1/4" and strong. It sets a little higher than I would like but that transducer is pretty big itself. Well some protection is better than no protection and this didn't cost much.
