Thread: My DIY transducer shield

I went ahead and made one for the other small transducer on the other side of my boat. I have not tried it out as to yet to see if the small 2d transducer will be in the way of the side imaging transducer. If when I do try it out if it gives me much trouble I can always remove anyway. This smaller transducer shield was easier to make than the other one as I used 4" schedule 40 PVC pipe and 1" 90° angles instead of the 4" PVC end cap although I think it is much stronger. I painted it also silver to match the boat somewhat. Here is some pictures you all may want to try this yourself it just may save a transducer or two who knows.
