That's a really nice unit, congratulations! The one piece of advice I will offer is once you are up and running and get it out on the water would be to make some recordings to play back at home to see how the settings work on your own water and water conditions. It really helped me to see how it all works and to really tweak the settings to get better performance on the next trip out. I like to keep them around 10 minutes or so max.

Okay, that went way over my head. Are you saying I can record what's shown on the screen, pull the unit off the boat and power it up while sitting in my house and go back through what was recorded?Quote:

My Helix 10 SI, that I use in my 12' rowboat, I have it all hooked up self contained with it's own little battery so I just set it up in the living room and sit back on the couch using the simulator mode and replay whatever recordings I made last night or whenever. I can play it fast or slow, pause it, change all the settings and check out all the little details I see.
And I'm pretty sure the Helix 9 has that capability as well, it has dual card slots so put a SD card in one slot, punch the record option from the correct view and away you go!

Those images are incredible Alphahawk. If mine look like that I'll be thrilled. You posted, "As you can see from the pics my transducer will scan into the motor when fully trimmed down" I don't see what you're referring to, can you tell me what it is that I'm supposed to be seeing that's your motor interfering with the transducer?

looks like a good purchase, I am curious when he mounts the transducer also. I have rivets does not seem to be an issue with my Helix 5. But I lowered my ducer so I can get readings at higher speed which has caused a spray which is throwing water on my motor but not sure if that is a big deal. I was told it is hard to get readings at high speed without throwing a spray.
