Moving My Lowrance

I single or double pole jig from the front of my boat 100% of my fishing time in a stump mine lake. I have to feel the thump or just as soon not fish!

I have a Lowrance Gen2 Touch 7 with the transducers mounted on the back of my 14' jonboat, but the screen is seated on a Ram mount on the front where I actually fish. This results in everything I see on my screen being at least 14' back from where I am sitting at the time I first see it.

I am thinking about moving my transducers (this unit has two - one for side and down scan and one for 2d) to the front so my data will be current to my position when I first see it.

My delima is how do I go about mounting the ducers since they are supposed to be within 3" or so of each other and I don't understand how I could do that on the trolling motor.

If anyone actually has useful solutions, please help! Thanks.

I would get in touch with Rickie (rnvinc) and see if he can make you a bracket to attach both transducers to da 'ducer, which I am sure he can.

2 xducers can certainly be mounted to da'ducer apparatus® as long as 1 xducer is 2d ...

The only reason the transducers need to be close is if you want to overlay downscan on your 2D sonar. 2D, downscan and structure scan will all work fine even with 14' between the transducers.

Personally I'd rather have the SS transducer in the back so I can hunt for brush piles and shad while idling.

I'm moving my HDS 7 gen 2 to the front this weekend, I got me a new transducer , the HDI which will let me use down imaging from the same transducer . I wanted gps, 2D and down imaging up front. Left the LSS2 on the back, putting a different HDS at the console.
