Thread: Hummingbird 797 unit using DI transducer from a 688 unit

Just upgraded my bow unit from an old 797 unit with SI to a Helix 10 unit with SI. Really pleased with the Helix. Decided to try the 797 up front of my boat where I had the 688 DI unit. Being all Hummingbirds all the cables matched, including the DI transducer from the 688. Now up front I'm getting great down image on my 797, not using the side imaging. May keep this setup. Rickie or anyone else have any experience using a di only transducer on a si unit? Any problems with using the 797 this way? Appreciate any input. Will try to get some snapshots next time I'm out. Thanks!
