    Just bought a hb helix 5 did for bow of my boat. Is it worth the money to exchange transducers like I here everyone does on here? It will be mounted on tm. Thanks

    The transducers designed for a trolling motor mount have better shielding against interference ..... There is no guarantee this will 100% prevent it, but if you have interference you will wish you had done the exchange.....It's just one more thing in the arsenal against interference.

    The HELIX 5 DI comes stock with the XNT 9 DI T ...

    The trolling motor puck version of that same xducer is the XTM 9 DI 25 T ...same beams angles - different housing shaped to fit a trolling motor with a hose clamp ... As Bob mentioned ...it has internal shielding for possible RFI (you may or may not have RFI issues) ...

    The AD XTM 9 adapter will mount the stock XNT 9 DI T xducer to the TM ... But it's not as sturdy a Setup as the puck exchange ...
