I have both volumes 1&2 and they were helpful for me however the YOUTUBE is loaded with all the help you need at no cost.
I have attended The Technological Angler seminar and found it to be priceless.

    Thanks for the replies.

I am aware of youtube, problem is I live in the sticks and internet cost can get out of hand real fast when you start downloading youtube!

I second what Speck Beck said, but I have not been to his seminars. However I plan on going to Grizzly Jig spring sale end of January. They will have Humminbird seminars!! If you are close enough should think about going.

A little off topic, but if you have a Lowrance side scanning unit, Larry Browning of K&L Electonix in Anderson, SC has some very good tutorials to help get you started too. Website is KLelectronix.com for more info. Helped me get up on the learning curve, especially setting up special screens and making adjustments. FYI.

Have you considered going to the local library? Most all have PCs and internet access.

If you want to buy a disk ....and ~
If you own a "core" or Helix unit:

Sonar and Lowrance Education, DVDs and More | Doctor Sonar

    Ever heard of Doc Bruce??
"Doctor Sonar" did a pretty good job on this DVD:

Humminbird Core Models Training DVD | Doctor Sonar

He runs an ONIX also, and knows his way around one of them too - not sure if he's working on any DVD for them or the Helix ...
